Zion Life
Ministries
Purpose One cannot possibly succeed if there is no purpose. One
cannot possibly be fulfilled if he or she has no vision. The
Lord told Habakkuk to write the vision and make it plain, (Hab. 2:2). God
has an expected end for your life. He said, “I know the
thoughts that I think towards you, thoughts of peace and not of evil,
to give you an expected end, (outcome), (Jer. 29:11). To every
thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven, (Ecc.
3:1). The only time all things work together for good is when
the people who love God are walking according to His purpose, (Ro.
8:28). He has a plan for every one. We teach a twofold
purpose:
(A) We are created for His pleasure, (Rev. 4:11).
Man was fearfully and wonderfully made, (Ps. 139:14).
(B) We were purposed to be conformed to the image of
Christ, (Ro. 8:29-30).
ZLM is dedicated in helping
you understand your purpose and to find your destiny.
PHYSICAL
(Well being)
This is one of the most controversial subjects in the church
today. Is
it God’s will to heal everyone, every time? Our approach
to this question is as follows:
(A.) God’s will was predetermined before creation
and then revealed at the cross through His son Jesus. Sickness and
disease came into the world by the disobedience of one man, (Adam), (Ro.
5:12). This great tragedy set in motion the curse of the law of
sin and death, (Ro. 8:1-2). One man’s single decision basically
brought the curse on all mankind against God’s will.
(B.) It is not God’s will that any should perish
but that all should come to repentance, (II Pe. 3:9). Through
Jesus Christ man was redeemed from the curse, (Ga. 3:13). He
took our infirmities and sicknesses, (Matt. 8:17). By His stripes
we were healed, (I Pe. 2:24). If we were then, we are now. So,
God’s will is not the issue. Either we don’t believe
because of certain mind sets or circumstances, or we contribute to
bad health by our life style. It is much easier to maintain than
to regain. Mental health is always the key to physical health. Spiritual
well being certainly provides the resources for overall personal health. At
ZLM we address the whole person so that the person can be WHOLE!
PSYCHOLOGICAL
Romans twelve, verse two gives much insight into the problems
of today’s
Christian. Most of us suffer from an unrenewed mind. Our
thinking is affected much by circumstances around us. As Christians
we have been given the mind of Christ, (I Cor. 2:16; Phil 2:5; I Pe.
4:1). A Christian should never be in depression. I understand
frustration and discouragement. We all face those feelings. However,
to stay in that state of mind is to not understand and appropriate
the mind of God. We are not to be shaken in mind (II Thess. 2:2). We
have not been given a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound
mind, (or clear thinking), (II Ti. 1:7). There are many
believers who are paralyzed in their walk with God because of the way
they think. As a man think-eth in his heart or mind, so is he,
(Prov. 23:7). We must not be afraid to embrace the mind of Christ. It
is part of our Christian experience. In fact to reject it is the same
as premeditated failure. This ministry is committed to the renewing
of the mind, that we might be changed into His image.
PROVISION
(Financial)
Financial freedom is NOT being debt free. Financial freedom
is being at peace with the debt. For instance, taxes, utilities,
groceries, insurance and commitments made to loved ones that may be struggling
are all constant. These are all things that are not PAYED OFF!
So even if we are out of debt concerning homes, cars and other possessions,
we still need to have the freedom to choose how we distribute our substance.
The more financially successful one becomes, the more responsible one
must be. The wrong decision can be devastating. The church teaches
a sowing and reaping principle. Most people realize that if they
give they will be blessed. I am strongly opposed for using scripture
as a basis for an investment plan. We should not serve God for a
harvest, but from the heart. Matthew chapter six, is the greatest
financial principle there is.
(A) Verses 1-4, You establish a secret place to
communicate with God.
(B) Verses 4-18, You give, pray, forgive, and
fast from that position.
(C) Verses 19-24, From this you come to understand where
the REAL treasure is. Then you become focused, money no longer
possesses you, you possess your money, because the Lord is your master.
(D) Verses 25-34, All needs become easier to meet because
you seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. We give
cheerfully, not out of obligation. When we understand our sin
debt was paid, we can face life’s debts with a sense of freedom
knowing that He will supply our needs as long as we seek Him first
and act responsibly.
